IGPX was a series that my sister insisted that I
see for the longest time. Anyhow, I finally got around
to seeing it and thought it was a pretty good series that
if you haven't seen before to give it a try. So
this is just a fun video that I made using the series. WARNING!! This video contains some spoilers so I would highly recommend that you see the series before seeing the music video. When I first heard about Elfen Lied, the first
thing that everyone seemed to have brought up was
how violent and bloody it was. Not to lie, but that
sparked my interest in seeing this series. And before
seeing the series, my initial impression was that this
show was going to be all flash with a so-so story. Anyhow,
after seeing this series, I have to say that it
definitely exceeded my expectations and easily is one
of the best animé series that I have seen. Anyway, after seeing Elfen Lied, I had a great urge to make a music video using this series. So I created this one that you're reading about now. My objective was to create a music video that, unlike a lot of other Elfen Lied amv videos out there, did not have a main focus on the violence, blood, or nudity. What I wanted to show was more of the internal struggle that Nyu/Lucy faced throughout the show and her desire to just live a normal life. WARNING!! This video contains some spoilers so I would highly recommend that you see the series before seeing the music video. (Also by seeing the animé first, I think it will help understand some parts of the video better and therefore make the music video more enjoyable) Please note though, that like rumor has it, the show does have bloody/gory scenes and does contain a slightly higher dose of nudity than the average animé. Actually the video was submitted with the category as unknown since this video doesn't seem like it really fits into only one single category really well. (ie. The song is mostly upbeat, with a mix of romance, action, and even some funny scenes) In my personal opinion, I think the song lyrics matches really well with the 3x3 eyes animé in regards to the relationship between Pai and Yakumo. I really like this video since the video source is from my favorite animé and I personally think that the lyrics go very well with the footage. Anyhow, now that Otakon 2003 is over, I'm posting this video up for everyone's enjoyment.
